Kuwait, June 17, 2013

Kuwait-based Equate Petrochemical Company said it has won "the Best Contribution for Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)" award, at a ceremony held in Dubai.

The honour was presented at the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply (CIPS) Middle East Awards 2013.

Mohammad Husain, the president and CEO, said: “The award was granted for Equate's distinguished CO2 Recovery Project, which is the first of its kind in Kuwait.”

“Equate’s commitment to overall sustainability through its multilateral CSR program is simply an embodiment of its ‘Partners in Success’ tagline with all stakeholders through launching several initiatives relevant to education, health, environment and other sectors.”

In recognition of its sustainability achievements, Equate has also earned several regional and global honours, he added.
