Equate Petrochemical Company, Kuwait’s first international petrochemical joint-venture, is sponsoring the Industrial Entrepreneurs project organised by Kuwait Industries Union (KIU).

Mohammad Al Benali, vice president for Technical Services and head of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) team, said: “Such an initiative for Industrial Entrepreneurs by KIU is a critical step that represents the principles and standards of partnership that Equate aspires to implement in all relevant fields to embody its tagline of ‘Partners in Success.’

“This project manifests one of Equate’s strategic objectives as a national industrial organisation, especially that petrochemical industries are a main component of Kuwait’s industrial sector and form the second main source of income, not only in Kuwait, but as a whole in all Gulf countries.

“Through this sponsorship, Equate aims at extending all support, cooperation and encouragement to participants in this project through their small-to-medium enterprises that have significant value in supporting the national economy for overall sustainability throughout Kuwait.”

The Industrial Entrepreneurs project includes a number of phases to evaluate, select and sponsor individuals with innovative added-value industrial ideas falling within small-to-medium enterprises to launch their own projects to be managed based on systematic and professional guidelines, in addition to forming partnership with relevant organisations.

The project will include the participation of several experts in industrial, economic, academic and technical sectors to evaluate the projects and the prospective entrepreneurs to select the best ideas and individuals. - TradeArabia News Service
