EAGC completes 702 km of gas network

TEHRAN, January 18, 2015

East Azarbaijan Gas Company (EAGC) has established 702 km of gas network in Iran between March 21 and December 21, 2014, a report said.

Valiollah Dini, managing director of the company, put the length of gas pipelines laid in the same period at 23 km, Shana reported.

He added that in this period, the number of subscribers of the national gas network grew by 57,974, of which 39,382 pertained to urban areas and 18,592 to rural areas.

The EAGC chief said 15,974 gas meters were installed for subscribers.

He added that in this period, 86 villages joined the national gas network in the East Azarbaijan province of Iran.

“The company plans to begin gas supply to four CNG stations,” he said, adding that at present, 152 CNG stations across the province are connected to the national gas network.

Dini announced that the province consumed 4.29 billion cu m of gas during the same period.
