Energy leadership to be discussed at Bahrain forum

MANAMA, April 9, 2015

More than 200 participants from the Gulf energy sector will discuss leadership issues at a major forum in Bahrain.

The third GCC Leadership Conference, titled "Developing Energy Leaders", will be held under the patronage of Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

It will be organised by Expressions Marketing Communications on April 15 and 16 in collaboration with the National Oil and Gas Authority and the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA).

GCC leaders from the energy sector will identify the current leadership gaps in the field, and collaborate efforts to develop a new generation of leaders who are capable of running this highly specialised sector in the Gulf.

The conference will highlight statistics of the manpower currently working in the GCC energy sector and forecast the needs and jobs created for the future years.

It will also review best practices and available training options in the GCC and discuss leadership issues and topics of interest such as innovation and performance.

More than 13 elite international, regional and local expert speakers are presenting their knowledge and experience in the fields of leadership and energy.

On the second day, there will be an intensive training workshop on how to develop the next generation of leaders in a given industry.

The seminar will be presented by Ong Hong Him, a famous leadership guru from Singapore who specialises in future leadership.

The Arab Renewable Energy Commission, the Federation of GCC Chambers and Tamkeen are the strategic partners.

The conference is also supported by Bahrain Development Bank, Youth Pioneers Association, Ibtikar Society and the Businesswomen Society, and other related institutions in the GCC.

Bafco and EWA are the silver sponsors while Bapco and Banagas are the bronze sponsors.

The conference proceedings will be streamed live on the website of Bahrain News Agency, the official media sponsor. - TradeArabia News Service
