Dr Mirza with the Tatweer board

Tatweer’s logs highest weekly average production

MANAMA, June 17, 2015

Tatweer Petroleum’s highest weekly average production since 1978, logged last week, was hailed by Energy Minister and company chairman Dr Abdulhussain Mirza.

A statement issued after the company’s board of directors, shareholders general assembly and development and production sharing agreement management committee meetings held yesterday, said Dr Mirza has also encouraged Tatweer to continue its efforts to increase the oil and gas production in the Bahrain Field.

The milestone of more than 55,000 barrels per day of crude oil and condensate was reached last Wednesday, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

The minister chaired the meetings and reviewed the company’s operations and various corporate matters.

Held at the company’s headquarters in Al Rumamin, the meetings were attended by representatives of Tatweer Petroleum shareholders nogaholding, Occidental Petroleum, Mubadala Petroleum and other distinguished representatives from National Oil and Gas Authority (Noga) and Bapco.

In December 2009, Tatweer Petroleum assumed responsibility for the stewardship and redevelopment of the Bahrain Field.

The company’s primary goals are to increase the production of oil and the availability of gas to meet future energy demands of the kingdom, in line with the Economic Vision 2030.
