TEXAS, June 24, 2015

Voith Turbo, a specialist for intelligent drive systems and solutions in the oil and gas sector, has opened its new Texas headquarters in Houston for the power, oil and gas division for the Americas region.

Located in the heart of Houston’s Energy Corridor, the new office will further Voith Turbo’s commitment to expanding its presence and supporting its oil and gas customers, said a statement.

The new Houston location includes a business development, and research and development (R&D) centre focused on problem solving and product development.

The first invests about five per cent of its total revenue in research and development, it said.

Ron Wilson, president Americas of Voith Turbo’s Power, Oil and Gas Division, said: “Opening a beautiful new location in the heart of Houston’s Energy Corridor shows our commitment to the oil and gas sector.

“Houston is a worldwide hub for the oil and gas industry, and many of our global customers are located in or frequently do business in the area. With the oil and gas market forecasted to remain a strong and attractive business sector into the future, Voith is committed to providing better support for our customers with expanded sales, application engineering, and project management services.”

“Innovation is an integral part of Voith Turbo’s growth, and Houston is where new ideas in the energy sector are generated and brought to life,” Wilson said.
