Dr Ghanem and Hesham Ali Mustafa

Enoc Group appoints key officials

DUBAI, January 4, 2016

Emirates National Oil Company (Enoc), a Dubai Government owned entity, has announced two key leadership positions as the organisation plans strong domestic and international expansion.

Dr Waddah Shihab Ghanem has been appointed as executive director of EHSSQ & Corporate Affairs and Hesham Ali Mustafa has been named executive director - Group Strategy and New Business Development. Both have been part of the Group for more than 16 years.

Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Enoc Group CEO, said: “I am very pleased to be announcing these two well-deserved appointments, which represent a huge step forward for Enoc’s expansion plans. Both their skills and backgrounds are exceptional and I am positive they are well positioned to undertake their new key responsibilities and support our growth plans of being an international integrated oil & gas player.”

Dr Ghanem will oversee the development and implementation of best practices and standards for EHS, business excellence & quality, sustainability, security and risk management as well as wellness and social affairs. He will also oversee the group’s legal affairs and the development and implementation of the Enoc Group communications strategy to support commercial growth and strategic positioning.

Dr Ghanem has a DBA in EHS Leadership & Governance focusing on high risk organisations across the GCC. He is an environmental engineer graduated from the University of Wales College Cardiff’s School of Engineering.

Prior to this appointment, Dr Ghanem was Enoc’s director of Group EHSQ Compliance since January 2010 and has held several positions in that field through his Enoc career.

In his new role, Hesham Ali Mustafa will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing Enoc Group’s strategy in alignment with the Government of Dubai’s strategic goals. He will also be overseeing Enoc’s global upstream, midstream and downstream activities with a focus on developing and implementing sustainable strategies that achieve recurring growth to Enoc’s bottom line.

Hesham started his career in 1997 working with the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority and later joined Enoc Processing Company in 2001. He then moved to join Emirates Gas in 2002 and took charge of Emgas management in 2005, where he played a strategic role in driving the company’s expansion. Hesham graduated for the Dubai Men’s Higher Colleges of Technology in Civil Engineering. – TradeArabia News Service
