Eni to develop Zohr offshore gas project in Egypt

CAIRO, February 24, 2016

Italian oil major Eni has won a contract to develop the Zohr offshore gas field development in Egypt, a report said.

The development plan envisages the start of production by the end of 2017, with a progressive ramp up until reaching a volume of about 75 million cu m of gas per day by 2019, reported Subsea World News, citing Eni.

Petroject, Enppi and Saipem are among the other contractors involved in the project, the report said.
