South Pars to see record rise in gas recovery

TEHRAN, December 21, 2016

Iran's South Pars Gas Field is set to see volumes of 140 million cu m in its daily gas recovery, according to the managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC).

POGC will break the record for daily gas extraction by mid-March, 2017; Mohammad Meshkinfam was quoted as saying in an Iran Daily report, which cited Shana.

Ninety-five million mcm/d has been added to the gas extraction capacity from the field this year, he added.

Total gas extraction from 10 phases of South Pars was 282 mcm/d in the year to March 20, 2014 and now with the transmission of gas from Phase 21 to the nationwide gas trunk line, the figure has reached 500 mcm/d, he explained.
