Top Saudi HVACR expo to draw 6,000 visitors

RIYADH, January 9, 2018

HVACR Expo Saudi, the kingdom's largest dedicated indoor climate and refrigeration event, will feature more than 80 exhibitors along with 18 CPD (Continuing Professional Development)-certified and complimentary workshops, and the first high-level “EU - Saudi Arabia Energy Efficiency Meeting” when it opens its doors in Jeddah.

To be held from January 14 to 16 at the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events, the expo is likely to attract over 6,000 visitors, said the event oganisers.

Following the success of in the 2017 edition, “the event is back with a 20 per cent increase in terms of exhibiting companies, which are more than 80 this year, coming from across the globe to access the lucrative Saudi market”, revealed Roni El Haddad, the event director.  

With more than 70 per cent of electricity being consumed for air conditioning and cooling in Saudi Arabia, El Haddad sadi: "Today, energy efficiency is a priority for the kingdom’s construction and HVAC-R industries, and will take center stage at the upcoming event."

On January 14, the event will feature the first high-level “EU - Saudi Arabia Energy Efficiency Meeting”, under the initiative of the EU GCC Clean Energy Technology Network, and the European Union Delegation to Saudi Arabia, with the participation of Saso (the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization).

Bringing together experts and decision makers, it will address collaboration opportunities between Saudi Arabia and the European Union on HVAC standards, certification and labeling.

Defined as a “key initiative in Saudi Arabia” by Saso’s vice governor of the standards and laboratories, Abdullah Al Gahtani, the crucial EU-Saudi Arabia meeting will facilitate dialogue on energy efficiency strengthening the competitiveness of the Saudi economy.  

Moreover, across the three days of the show, industry experts will deliver 18 educational workshops that will promote best practices and innovative solutions for the Saudi HVAC-R industry.

Spanning from the latest solutions for energy optimisation and better IEQ (indoor environment quality), to green technology HVAC systems, and innovative chiller technologies for high ambient conditions, the workshop sessions will be CPD-certified and free to attend for all visitors, said the organisers.  

A key platform for HVAC-R industry professionals to network, do business and discover new technologies and trends, the upcoming expo will bring to Saudi Arabia the latest HVAC-R solutions and equipment from local and international manufacturers.

The winner of the Climate Control Awards for ‘GCC Region Manufacturer of the Year’, ‘Innovative Manufacturer of the Year (Chillers)’, and ‘Manufacturer of the Year (Air – Treatment)’, Carrier, will be also showcasing its latest solutions for the Saudi built environment.

Carrier will be playing a major role as Platinum Sponsor at HVACR Expo Saudi for the third year running.
