Kuwaiti group CGC secures Abu Dhabi island work

ABU DHABI, December 8, 2019

Kuwait-based Combined Group Contracting Company (CGC) said it has secured a KD19.9 million ($65.3 million) contract from Abu Dhabi-based Musanada to build internal roads and infrastructure at Ras Ghurab Island in the UAE emirate.

A major player in the field of contracting and engineering in the Arab World, CGC was set up in 1965
with headquarters in Kuwait City. It has several key infrastructure projects to its credit including the Sheikh Jaber Al Ahmad Bridge, Subiya Power Station, Sabah AlAhmad City (all in Kuwait); Al Reem Island (Sector 2 and 3), Officer's Villa Project for Abu Dhabi Gates and dualling of road from Al Shuaibah Roundabout to Al Qusais in Dubai (UAE); besides North Residential and West Waterfront Areas at Lusail City, Doha in Qatar.

The Ras Ghurab Island project is being developed by Musanada for the Abu Dhabi Department of Urban Planning and Municipalities. The project is set for completion by mid-2021.-TradeArabia News Service
