The co-events include WFES Energy, WFES Water, WFES Solar, WFES ecoWASTE, WFES Green Buildings and WFES Mobility.

This is the 13th year that Adnec has hosted WFES and the event is one of the key international events on Adnec’s annual calendar.

With 33,500 attendees expected from 170 countries, and 800 specialist exhibitors, the World Future Energy Summit is the Middle East’s largest future energy and sustainability event. Held annually at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), the 2020 edition includes exhibition and forum programmes across five main pillars: energy, solar, water, waste and smart cities, hosting an unrivalled gathering of top-level government and business leaders.

WFES is further reinforcing its reputation as a global marketplace for renewable energy and sustainable technology with over 90 percent of the exhibitor space selling out quickly in late 2019. The event has 20% growth for its 2020 edition compared to 2019.

The summit provides a platform where global future energy, cleantech and sustainability community come together. From innovators and academics to political and industry leaders, it is an important annual event that showcases the state-of-the-art, enables new business and investment to flow, and sets the agenda.

WFES will bring together government and business leaders and specialist exhibitors from around the globe, showcasing pioneering technologies and ground-breaking thinking in energy, energy efficiency, water, solar, waste and smart cities.

As a global hub for business, innovation and knowledge exchange at the heart of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, the World Future Energy Summit inspires the advancement and transfer of ideas, technology and investment across borders and between the public and private sectors worldwide, helping to stimulate sustainable growth for all stakeholders.

Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, managing director and group CEO of Adnec, said: “We have entered the final stages of our preparations for WFES and our team of experts have been working around the clock. Adnec has invested significantly in its facilities and infrastructure required by today’s global events industry for events to ensure that Adnec is regarded as one of the world’s leading venues for exhibitions and conferences and hosting such major exhibitions such as WFES highlight’s Adnec’s position as one of the leading venues for such high profile events." -TradeArabia News Service
