COPENHAGEN, March 1, 2021

World-leading coatings manufacturer Hempel has announced that David Heal has joined the company to head up its renewable energy segment, as it looks to strengthen its leadership position as part of its commitment to sustainability.

In line with Hempel’s new Double Impact strategy and its ambition to double the company by 2025, it is determined to grow and secure leadership positions within its renewable energy segment to become the leading coating solutions provider, while expanding in scope to support our customers as they transition to more sustainable solutions, the company said.

“We are happy to welcome David to the Hempel team and look forward to working together as we embark on our strategic journey to double our business. We will enter new markets such as coatings for wind blades and services, build strategic partnerships to ensure more efficiency through the entire value chain and help our customers reach their business and sustainability targets so we continue to be their trusted partner,” said Martin Wiese, Head of Protective & Industrial Business at Hempel.

Heal commented: “I am excited to join Hempel and to become part of the ambitious growth strategy. The energy transition is changing the market and more customers are accelerating their sustain-ability focus – we will adapt too in order to meet demand and create the demand of tomorrow. I am looking forward to bringing an inclusive and people focused approach to ensure we continue to win in our core segments and to support the drive of excellence in everything we do.”
