Oil Dynamics completes ESP units' installation in Germany

HANNOVER (Germany), June 11, 2021

Oil Dynamics, a global specialist in engineering and manufacturing of artificial lift systems for the upstream oil industry, said it had recently installed and started two new Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP) systems for a customer near Hannover, Germany.

In addition to this, the company is upgrading its pumping equipment including ten production wells.

A highly flexible German company, Oil Dynamics said both the ESP-systems commissioned to the customer near Hannover were equipped with pump sensors.

To power and control the ESPs, Oil Dynamics also built and commissioned new variable frequency drives (VFD). The ElektroMotion smartDRIVEs in use were built with selected high-quality industrial components from the global market.

Meanwhile the first two of ten wells were upgraded from Progressing Cavity Pumps to Electric Submersible Pumps (ESP) and running.

The oilfield operator by last year decided to renew und upgrade his pumping equipment
including ten production wells.

Oil Dynamics convinced the customer with its modular technical concept being able to cope with wide variations of reservoir pressure.

"Comparing the same sizes, ESPs can deliver higher flowrates and heads, are more energy efficient and longer lasting than PCPs," said Adam Waniek, Sales Manager Europe at Oil Dynamics.

"ESP installations have smaller footprints on surface and emit no noise," he said.

"Unlike PCPs, an ESP does not need any drive shaft going through the wellhead nor mechanical seal, which makes ESP completions safer, not least for the environment," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
