4 firms honoured with Emirates Energy Award
ABU DHABI, January 19, 2022
UAE enitities with outstanding achievements in the sustainable energy sector were honoured with the Emirates Energy Award by Suhail bin Mohammed Faraj Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure.
The ceremony took place during at the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition centre (Adnec).
The honourees included Dubai Municipality, Dubai Water and Electricity Authority, Tabreed Company and Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC).
The award is a recognition for the achievements in best practices in energy efficiency, receiving ISO 50001 and finding innovative solutions for energy efficiency and alternative energy.
Al Mazrouei praised the efforts of the participants and the role of the award to encourage different entities in the UAE to implement global standards for the sustainability and efficiency of the energy sector as well as encourages to study and scientific research in the sector which is a major pillar for the national economy.
