People ride on a roller coaster at the Chavy Land amusement park in Sulaimaniya province, 330km (205 miles) northeast of Baghdad.
Chavy Land amusement park is part of an ambitious plan by Sulaimaniya, a city of about 700,000 inhabitants set in the mountains of Iraq's autonomous, northern Kurdish region, to attract more visitors from central and southern parts of Iraq and neighbouring countries to boost the city's economy. The recently opened amusement park offers visitors some respite from the country's volatile security situation. Reuters/Yahya Ahmad
