Peri Cochin, organiser of the raffle "One Picasso for 100 Euros", stands in front of the goauche 'L'Homme au Gibus, 1914' (Man with Opera Hat) by painter Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) at Sotheby's auction house in Paris, on December 12.
The gouache is valued at one million dollars and will go to the lucky winner of a Christmas charity raffle with tickets for the first ever such tombola on sale for just 100 euros ($138).
The painting was bought by an anonymous donor from a New York gallery and given to "The International Association to Save Tyre Charity" working to save the ancient city of Tyre in southern Lebanon. Reuters/Charles Platiau
