fter 14 years in the vaults of Peru's National Bank, 152 pieces of jewelry and gold watches that belonged to Montesinos, valued at almost a million U.S. dollars, will be put up for auction on August 18 by the Peruvian government, local authorities said on Friday. Montesinos, who ran Peru's vast spy network for disgraced former President Alberto Fujimori, is doing time in prison for corruption and human rights violations since 2001.
