A visitor walks past the sculpture "Black Rosy" by French artist Niki de Saint Phalle (1930-2002) during an exhibition at the Grand Palais Museum in Paris on September 16. Beginning on Wednesday, the Grand Palais in Paris starts a major retrospective of painter, sculptor, filmmaker or public art designer Saint Phalle, who died in California in 2002 after spending her prolific career shuttling back and forth between the United States and her homeland of France.
