Prague’s 605-year-old clock to get $2m facelift

Clockmaker Petr Skala checks the Prague's Old Town astronomical clock, during the symbolic start of renovation of the Old Town hall tower at the Old Town Square in Prague, Czech Republic on April 6. The 605-year-old astronomical clock will be restored into form from the end of 19th century with original elements. Some parts will have new colours and propulsion of clock machine will be changed too. The reconstruction and restoration works of Prague's Old Town hall and astronomical clock are planned to take 18 months with costs of nearly $2 million.
