Cluttons Oman offers facilities management

Muscat, May 17, 2012

Cluttons, a leading real estate specialist, has integrated its traditional property management service with a facilities management service in Oman.

Cluttons has historically focused on property management with its main focus being on managing residential and commercial buildings for landlords. However, in recent years the need has arisen for a dedicated facilities management service, which Cluttons now provides, said a statement.

Facilities management includes services such as catering, cleaning, pest control, concierge, and reprographics and so on. Companies and landlords now have the option of doing without multiple service providers and instead using a single agency, like Cluttons. Cluttons are the first property management agents to provide this service in Oman, it said.

Cluttons currently manages a diverse portfolio with retail, mixed use, stand-alone offices, residential and sports clubs. Effective results may be achieved for clients with individual buildings, large real estate portfolios, and headquarters buildings, in the banking, finance, energy, real estate and government sectors. There is a clear benefit to this route and cost savings and performance improvements will be self-evident, it said.

“This makes Cluttons a pioneering company in Oman in providing a totally integrated property and facilities management service from a pre-development stage to full operational asset. Cluttons thus serves as a one stop shop for every type of business, be it a landlord of a residential/commercial/retail building or a large corporation requiring management of their office building,” the statement said.

N Jayaraman, head of facilities and property management in Cluttons Oman, said: “An efficient working environment represents an enormous overhead. It also requires a significant, on-going investment of managerial time and resources which makes outsourcing the natural choice. Successful organisations spend most of their productive time on strategy and less on building operations. They have learnt that facilities management outsourcing allows them to be more active in their core business.”

Philip Paul, director of the Oman office, added: “Cluttons facilities management specialists strive for a full understanding of our clients' culture and aspirations, and this is key to achieving cohesive and workable solutions. Cluttons translates the clients' requirements to the facilities management service market, facilitating productive and lasting relationships with service providers.” –TradeArabia News Service
