Panasonic unveils new projectors

Dubai, November 22, 2007

Panasonic has launched two of its latest high definition projectors – PT-AE2000E and the PT-AX200E – in the Middle East.

Aimed at savvy home theatre enthusiasts and audio video professionals, the new PT-E2000E delivers 1080p full high definition images, and with a carefully-tuned lens system is able to reproduce remarkable detail and clarity with 1,500 lumen brightness and 16,000:1 contrast ratio.

The projector offers Detail Clarity Processor, Pure Color Filter Pro, Cinema Color Management, Smooth Screen, Dynamic Iris, 16 bit digital signal processing, up to 18 personalised settings and three HDMI inputs, said an official spokesman.

The PT-AE2000E comes equipped with professional-level features that let users personalise the images they see on the screen such as Split Adjust mode that splits the screen in two, one to make adjustments and one as baseline reference, as well as a waveform monitor.

With a 2x powered zoom and wide lens shift range the new model can cast a 120-inch diagonal image from 3.6 metres to 7 meters from the screen. The lens shift capability enables full, 100 percent vertical adjustment and 40 percent horizontal adjustment so that it can be ceiling hung.

Panasonic’s other new projector - PT-AX200E - is a high definition hand home cinema projector featuring Game Mode, which lets video game players experience all the action of their favourite games in "real life" size on a large screen.

The Game Mode optimises the signal processing to the specific properties of game content coming from high definition game consoles and multimedia computers, and reduces response time from 15ms to 5ms.

The game mode also enhances gradation in saturated areas to express more details. It dynamically analyses the signal for content differentiations which are beyond the bandwidth of the dynamic range of video or TV specifications.

The PT-AX200E also incorporates Panasonic’s new Light Harmonizer 2 - a technology that senses ambient light levels and adjusts the picture accordingly for bright, easy-to-see images in all lighting conditions. To achieve this bright-room viewability, Panasonic has equipped the PT-AX200E with a redesigned optical unit that delivers 2000-lumen brightness.

The PT-AX200E also offers Panasonic's Advanced Dynamic Sharpness Control that reduces noise amplification and Pure Colour Filter. The projector also features a 2x optical zoom lens and lens shift function that greatly improves installation ease and flexibility.

“These latest projectors from Panasonic are designed to enhance the overall cinema-viewing experience for the customer. Both the PT-AX200E and the PT-AE2000E incorporate several innovations to provide smooth, vivid, three-dimensional-like images that can be seen in a movie theatre, and the PT-AX200E with its Game Mode feature would certainly appeal to gaming enthusiasts in the region,” said product manager, Panasonic Marketing Middle East, Hiroshi Maruyama. – TradeArabia News Service
