Prada phones sales to top 700,000 mark

Dubai, December 31, 2007

LG Electronics (LGE) is expecting to top 700,000 mark in the sale of Prada phones in 2007.

Prada Phone was launched in Italy, UK, France and Germany alongside other countries in Asia at the beginning of 2007. Following significant demand, it was then subsequently introduced in other European, Asian and Latin American markets, said an official spokesman.

The Prada Phone by LGE has been recognised as a technological breakthrough, and this innovative approach has been followed by other players in the course of the year.

Thanks to the introduction of the world's first touch screen technology, which eliminated the conventional keypad and which allowed advanced touch interface on a large LCD screen, the phone not only provides a platform for new design opportunities but also opens new doors to diverse multimedia experiences.

“We are very proud of the stellar demand that this handset had reaped so far and we look forward to seeing the LGE Prada generate high demands in Jordan. The Jordanian people are savvy when it comes to the latest technological developments within the mobile communications industry and at LGE we do our part to ensure that their demands are met and exceeded,” said general manager of the LGE Amman Kevin Cha. – TradeArabia News Service
