SouqExtra!, TSC team up to manage stores
Dubai, February 26, 2009
Retailer SouqExtra! has signed a strategic partnership with supermarket experts The Sultan Center (TSC) to operate its 10 superstores in the UAE.
SouqExtra! is introducing a new community supercentre model that combines both retail operations and community services, as well as a business support programme for promising Emirati entrepreneurs.
“We have put together a unique value offering catering to the large retail potential of communities by providing a comprehensive one-stop-shop option that will make life easier and convenient for residents, nationals and tourists to address their shopping and leisure needs as well as important municipal and government services,” said Saleh A Lootah.
“To ensure the highest professional standards of service and products, we have appointed TSC to run retail operations, a decision made based on the company’s vast expertise in the region and track record of high quality standards and customer satisfaction.”
“We are pleased to be working with SouqExtra! in their forthcoming retail operations,” said TSC’s managing director of retail, Abdelsalam Bdeir.
“We have the necessary know-how and experience that will help translate their vision into reality. Our unique insights into what consumers want and need, especially in this part of the world, will ensure that we have the right and most extensive range of products, as well as superior levels of customer service for which we have been known for in our years of operation throughout the region.”
As proof of the community supercentre concept’s appeal, SouqExtra! is following through its expansion plans and has signed several agreements during the past months that involve the set up of 10 superstore outlets across the UAE, beginning with Al Ain, Ajman and Fujairah, and a planned roll out all throughout the country, as well as around the region. – TradeArabia News Service
