KHiND unveils new energy saving lamps

Malaysia based global firm dealing in electrical and household electronics, KHiND Middle East, has launched a range of energy saving lamps (ESL) in Dubai.

Listed on the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange in 1998, KHiND manufactures and distributes world-class electrical and home appliances in Malaysia and exports to over 50 countries worldwide including the UAE, from where it is re-exported to other markets.

“Our new energy saving lamps have been launched keeping in mind the global warming issue. Energy saving lamps constitute a new area of technology for KHiND. We wanted to offer consumers a cost effective viable choice with regard to energy saving lamps. The goal is to cut down on electricity consumption across households and corporate sector,” said Cheng Ping Keat, chief of KHiND Group.

“Additionally, the lamps meet the requisite international compliance standards as marked under the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60968/6096.”

“KHiND has come a long way since it was established way back in 1961 in a rural neighbourhood of Malaysia. Today, it is a world class company manufacturing and exporting to various markets across the globe,” added Dato Yahaya Abdul Jabbar – Ambassador of Malaysia in the UAE.

In addition to the ESL series, KHiND also launched two new series of ESL LED Lamps. The LED rechargeable light tube offers features such as long lighting duration of about 11 hours, lightweight which facilitates effortless installation, less consumption of energy and easy maintenance as it has a long lamp life of over 50K hours.

The LED rechargeable light bulb provides consumer benefits including long lighting duration of up to five hours, AC/DC, easy mobility and less energy consumption.

KHiND also manufactures and distributes a range of home appliances, kitchen appliances, lighting appliances and fan series.

Over the years, KHiND has won several accolades. In 2002, KHiND was honored with the Energy Efficiency Award for ceiling fans, The National Creativity and Innovation Award in 2004, KLSE Corporate Sectoral Award in 2003 amongst others.-TradeArabia News Service
