Lulu set to open 3rd hypermarket in Bahrain
Manama, December 30, 2010
LuLu will become the only hypermarket group in Bahrain to operate three outlets when it opens its new anchor store at Ramli Mall in A'ali on January 5.
LuLu Hypermarket is celebrating Bahrain's success and progress with the opening of the third hypermarket at the mall, which is part of the LuLu Group.
The new hypermarket will showcase 200,000 square feet of shopping convenience with all the favourite brands, top-quality service and best prices LuLu customers have become accustomed to.
The mall has been designed to offer easy navigation and convenience with a dedicated 1,500 vehicle park.
'LuLu Hypermarket in Ramli Mall, A'ali, will become the 86th store of the group in the Middle East, making the EMKE Group one of the largest retail chains in the region,' said managing director Yusuffali M A.
'This new hypermarket opening is part of the LuLu Group's plans to reach the 100 stores mark by the end of 2011,' he added.
The hypermarket will create 500 jobs and take LuLu's total workforce in Bahrain to more than 2,000.
Apart from the regular supermarket and department store sections, the new hypermarket will also house a range of speciality areas such as jewellery, pharmacy, computers and information technology, mobile phones and watches.
'The idea is to fulfil every need of the customer by bringing every convenience under one roof,' Yusuffali said.
'LuLu Hypermarket has always worked to bring international quality in products and services to its customers and we have always believed in being as close to our shoppers as possible.
'We have taken care of every requirement in the planning, including ample car parking.
'Since this latest hypermarket will be part of the state-of-the-art Ramli Mall, our customers will find a truly exciting family shopping destination awaiting them, with a dedicated children's play area and stylish food court so that the famous LuLu family atmosphere is enhanced and the whole family can enjoy the shopping experience,' he added.
There are 37 check-out counters and islands throughout the store for customers' convenience.
The entire store has been planned with a keen eye for visual appeal and divided into colour-coded pastel areas in keeping with the merchandise on sale.
With an excellent in-house bakery, hot and cold food sections, seafood, meat, fruit and vegetables sections, the hypermarket will have its trademark top-quality food service at the A'ali hypermarket too.
Ramli Mall taps a new geographic area which has not so far been explored and which is conveniently located in the tourist corridor off King Fahad Causeway and a busy intersection of residential and school-university zones in Bahrain.
'More than 80 major brands have joined us already at Ramli Mall and we are delighted with the enthusiasm of shoppers who have been checking the mall's development,' added Yusuffali.-TradeArabia News Service
