Jacky’s launches promotion for DSS

Jacky’s Electronics, a major retailer in the UAE, has launched a sales promotion to coincide with the ongoing Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS), a leading summer entertainment and shopping fiesta.

The 14th edition of DSS opened on June 22, and will run until July 31.

Jacky’s has unveiled its ‘Good Times at Jacky’s’ campaign by giving away timepieces from Continental, Cruiser, and Lordson for every product valued above Dh799 ($217.50) purchased.

“DSS this year is expected to give electronics a boost with some outbound travel shopping by resident expatriates in addition to the influx of tourists from the GCC and neighbouring countries. These factors are sure to contribute to an increase in footfall and sales for most retailers,” said Ashish Panjabi, chief operating officer of Jacky’s Electronics.

“While tourists mainly comprise of GCC nationals, other demographics that constitute to 80 per cent of any retailer footfall mix come from Asians, Europeans, Arab expats, Emiratis, Asians, Russians and Africans,” Panjabi added.

According to Panjabi, among the product categories that will steadily increase in demand during DSS are tablets, smartphones, laptops, DSLRs and LED TVs.

Jacky’s Electronics DSS offer is valid from 22nd June to 31 July. Accessories vouchers of up to Dh500 are also up for grabs for every purchase of notebooks at Jacky’s, a statement said.

Customers buying products worth Dh300 to Dh798 will receive a meal voucher from Americana Group’s line of food outlets from KFC, Pizza Hut, Hardees, Taco Bell and Krispy Kreme.

Other value bundles available at Jacky’s include laptops, netbooks and PCs bundled with a host of preferred accessories such as optical mouse, carry case, and stereo headset along with add-ons offered by the brands.

Customers will also receive gift vouchers redeemable to choose from wireless printers, security software, routers and storage devices, the statement added. – TradeArabia News Service
