GAP opens at Bahrain City Centre

Manama, December 1, 2011

Al Tayer Group recently opened its new GAP store at Bahrain City Centre, a leading shopping and leisure destination in the kingdom.

The iconic American retail brand that offers clean and classic clothing and accessories has become a cultural icon around the world since opening in 1969, a statement said.

Spanning over 10,000 sq ft, the GAP store has relocated at the ground floor in the main atrium of Bahrain City Centre from its previous location on the second floor in the mall.

“We are extremely pleased to be able to reintroduce GAP to the visitors at Bahrain City Centre. So far we have received an overwhelming response from the customers in the Kingdom and I am sure the new look and feel of the store will certainly entice them to shop even more at the popular brand.” said Richard Peace, general manager, Gap - Al Tayer Trends.

The new store currently stocks the brand’s latest Holiday collection, which reflects a contemporary take on classics.

Women’s sweaters have variations on cable, shown with rich texture of cord or with feminine prints. Charcoal heather marl and a touch of fur are other key elements.

The season’s trend for snakeskin is shown in a way that’s quintessentially Gap; re-created as jeans.  Flattering women wear options include a sharp tailored silhouette, trouser flare, non-blue denim finishes and leg-lengthening skinny boot.

Men can choose from cable, marled or heathered sweaters that can be worn with Denim Wash Khakis or Moleskin Pants. The collection offers cardigans and blazers coupled with wovens in dark colors. – TradeArabia News Service
