DSMG raffle promotion sees 40 winners

Dubai Shopping Malls Group’s (DSMG) National Day promotion closed recently after 40 days rewarding a total of 40 lucky shoppers of 18 different nationalities who entered the raffle draw at any of the 21 participating malls.
Four draws were organized during the promotion and in every draw, ten lucky shoppers were chosen each for winning Dh40,000 ($10,890) worth of prizes.
The final draw which was timed around the National Day celebrations saw the final group of ten lucky shoppers leave BurJuman, the venue of the event, with up to Dh400,000 worth of prizes in cash and Rivoli gift vouchers.
“The Shop & Win promotion was specially organised along with the Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment to celebrate the 40th UAE National day and has been one of the most successful campaigns organised by DSMG in recent years,” said Majid Al Ghurair, chairman, DSMG.
“The promotion appealed to adults and children alike, with the children being powerfully drawn to the events by the entertaining stage performance of the Aladdin show. The promotion proved to be a great success and DSMG achieved its objective of re-energising Dubai’s retail trade as all participating Malls have shown impressive growth in business,” he added.
“Mall promotions of this kind are strategically important to stimulate sales and facilitate retail sector growth,” said Laila Suhail, chief executive officer, Dubai Events and Promotions Establishment (Depe).
“DSMG has played a commendable role in designing integrated mall promotions that will greatly contribute to Dubai’s concerted effort to revitalise its original USPs of trade, transshipment and tourism. The careful timing of the DSMG promotion with the 40th National Day Celebrations is very significant in saluting the vision of our leaders.”
As a result of the popularity of the raffle promotion and the good reputation of the shopping experience in Dubai, the draw which was organized in celebration of the 40th UAE National Day witnessed enthusiastic participation of over one million customers.
As per DSMG statistics footfall in participating malls increased by 12 per cent during the 40 days of the promotion as reported by participating malls. – TradeArabia News Service
