Menicon's super thin lens wins top award

"Magic," a daily disposable contact lens pack from Menicon Company that provides wearers with both functionality and ultra-thin portability through its minimalist design, won top honours at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity held recently.

Japan-based Menicon offers an expanding portfolio of innovative lenses, packaging and related products that maximize user comfort and convenience. It is also the world’s largest producer of gas-permeable contact lenses.

The Magic, said to be the thinnest contact lens pack in the world, scored Gold at “Big 3” advertising awards, said a statement from Menicon.

It was presented with the "2012 Gold Award for Brand and Identity Experience" at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the most highly-regarded of many international advertising awards due to its large scale, jury composition, and high level of submissions and winning entries.

Gold Awards for package design were also clinched at the CLIO and The One Show awards, adding to Magic’s list of accolades, it stated. 

Magic has also received high praise for its integrated marketing approach, which conceives of a product’s name, package design, logo, website, communications and advertising holistically, up to and including in-store merchandising, the statement added.-TradeArabia News Service
