Panasonic unit targets $100m ME sales of fans

Osaka, Japan, June 17, 2014

KDK Company, a wholly owned subsidiary of Panasonic Ecology Systems, is targeting a turnover of more than $100 million in fan products with the introduction of new premium ceiling fan specifically designed for the Middle East.

Having crossed the milestone of one million sets of ceiling fans sold in the Middle East, it expects to continue to lead the competition with innovative, high efficiency and desirable products. The company is looking to expand in Oman, as part of its thrust in the Middle East and African markets.

The recent new product launch held by the Electrical & Electronics Division of Mohsin Haider Darwish (MHD), along with KDK Japan, was attended by over 200 guests.

KDK has launched a number of new and innovative products in the Oman market. Among them is a premium ceiling fan in three colour variants - a first in the region.

Tetsu Miyoshi from KDK Japan said: "The design, features and colours have been arrived at after listening to the needs of our clients in the Region. It also boasts of innovative safety and technically superior features which our customers will surely appreciate. Consultants and specifiers will especially be happy with the slim five-speed regulator that now fits into a standard BS backbox, giving the installation an attractively crisp look. A gold motif design on the motor's cover is the icing on the cake!"
