Qatar retailer to open 8 new malls

Al Meera, a leading retail chain in Qatar, said work was on track for the opening of all the eight new malls in the country by the end of this year.
The company officials announced this at the launch of its new branch in Legtaifiya.
"The Legtaifiya branch opening confirms Al Meera's steady pace towards achieving its aspirations and aims of catering to the consumers' needs in Qatar, and to provide them with the best possible services in an innovative and modern design concept, suitable for the requirements of contemporary markets," they added.
Of the eight, the first one to open will be the Jeryan Nejaima branch mall.
Al Meera said the other malls are coming up at Al Wakra, Al Thumama, Al Wajba, Muaither, Al Azizia, Zakhira and Al Muraikh. In addition to all this, the retailer will also open a new store in the Gulf mall.
The opening of the distinctive branch also interprets the modern concept for malls, which Al Meera has been adopting recently out of keenness to present an up-to-date shopping experience that meets international standards of retail sale, said the company in a statement.
The company is working on constructing branches with a contemporary impact, to fulfill the ambitions of consumers in Qatar, as the shopping complexes include supermarkets, along with shops, restaurants and other stores.
The new branch consists of one ground floor of 3125 sq m comprising Al Meera supermarket, restaurants, shops, a pharmacy, as well as a shop for telecommunication services. The mall also boasts of spacious parking lots, spread over an area of 5,000 sq m.-TradeArabia News Service
