Stage set for 'Jewellery Arabia' expo in Bahrain

MANAMA, November 14, 2014

The Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre is set to host Jewellery Arabia 2014, the largest jewellery and watch expo in the Middle East.

It will be held under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa from November 18 to 22, said a report in the Gulf Daily News (GDN), our sister publication.

More than 600 international exhibitors from 30 nations will showcase the widest range of jewellery, luxury timepieces, precious stones, antiques, objets d'art and jewellery technology.

The expo will be spread across 18,000sqm of event space including large pavilions from Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey and the UK.

A huge luxurious tent has been set up to meet the full list of international participants including Bahrain's finest jewellery manufacturers and craftsmen.

Industry and Commerce Minister and chairman of the Bahrain Exhibition and Convention Authority Dr Hassan Fakhro thanked the Prime Minister for his continuous support for the annual event since its launch in 1992, uniting thousands of exhibitors and buyers in the Middle East and providing a perfect market entry point for hundreds of returning and new international jewellery houses and watch manufacturing companies to showcase finest collections and latest trends.

Jewellery Arabia 2014 is expected to attract more than 50,000 visitors from inside and outside Bahrain during the five-day show. - TradeArabia News Service
