Fahmi Al Shawa... aggressive expansion

Circle K to open four new Abu Dhabi outlets

ABU DHABI, November 19, 2014

Circle K, one of the world’s largest convenience store operators, will open four new outlets in Abu Dhabi before the end of the year, adding to their existing 10 locations in the UAE capital and 40 across the country.

The company will be opening branches in the areas of Al Muneera, Danet Abu Dhabi, Abu Dhabi Corniche and Adnec, with others to be announced shortly, a statement said.

Circle K is an established brand that operates more than 13,000 convenience stores around the world. The company first established its presence in the Middle East region through a partnership with Convenience Arabia in 2011.

“We are always seeking out interested developers, government agencies and building landlords, to partner with us in setting up more Circle K convenience stores in their localities,” said Fahmi Al Shawa, CEO, Circle K Arabia.

“What we offer is not just a store in itself but an outlet that answers to the immediate needs of the community they are in—presenting them with key value offerings and excellent customer service that we are widely known for.”

Circle K branches, which usually measure up from 10 to 250 sq m, present a wide portfolio of products that are composed of daily essentials while also offering baked and deli food products—placing emphasis on the things that really matter such as efficiency, quality service and convenience.

“The opening of these new outlets in Abu Dhabi reflects the strong response for the growing demands of convenience stores that can cater to the demands and needs of customers in the emirate. Rest assured that we will continue to open more outlets across the UAE and provide consumers with the ultimate experience in convenience store shopping,” concluded Al Shawa.

Circle K is owned by Alimentation Couche Tard, a Canadian-listed convenience store retailer.  – TradeArabia News Service
