Nakheel leases 90pc shops at Dubai retail development

DUBAI, November 25, 2014

Dubai developer Nakheel said it has leased 90 per cent of the shops and restaurants at Warsan Souk, its new retail development in Dubai, UAE.

Located between Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road and Manama Road, next to International City in Dubai, UAE, Warsan Souk will be a vibrant, modern retail destination, innovatively-designed as a modern take on the traditional souk.

Spread across eight buildings, it will have more than 1,000 shops including two department stores - one at either end of the souk. There will also be more than 30 cafes and restaurants, with areas for indoor and alfresco dining.

Warsan Souk will occupy two floors - ground and mezzanine - with most outlets being accessible via their own dedicated entrance and from within the souk itself, said a statement from Nakheel.

Warsan Souk has been launched three weeks after Nakheel unveiled Deira Islands Night Souk, where all 5,300 units were leased to UAE tradesmen and women – some as young as their early 20s – within five days.

Nakheel said it was building on the success of its Deira Islands Night Souk launch with this new retail development.

The new retail project will be opening up yet more opportunities for young UAE entrepreneurs, it added.-TradeArabia News Service
