Manish Bakshi... Mideast ‘a vibrant gaming community’

BenQ sees 120pc Q3 growth in gaming monitors

MANAMA, November 26, 2014

BenQ Middle East & Africa, a leader in consumer electronics, recorded 120 per cent growth in gaming monitor segment for the third quarter of 2014 compared to the same period last year.

The significant growth is driven by increase in sales of BenQ 27” Gaming Monitor XL2720Z, alliances with gaming cafes and popularity of its FPS and RTS monitors equipped with the latest technologies for professional gamers.

Manish Bakshi, managing director, BenQ Middle East & Africa, said: “The Middle East has a very vibrant and young gaming community and they are a focus segment for us. Today we are the market leader in the region.”

“This year we introduced new pioneering gaming monitors designed in close collaboration with professional gamers to optimize the experience of high speed gaming. We also have alliances with key gaming cafes to introduce our products to the region’s enthusiastic gaming community.

“We are constantly innovating our products to provide the best gaming experience. Fighting Mode and HDMI Output for console games, as well as all the latest features from 1ms GTG to Flicker-free Technology, Black eQualizer, Low Blue Light Technology and Height Adjustment Stand with Precision Scale System are some of the features you will find in our monitors.”

Talking about projected growth from gaming monitors, he added: “In 2015, we expect a 20 per cent increase in revenue from our gaming monitor line up and 30 per cent increase in profits. “

BenQ’s gaming monitors are currently available from leading Large Format Retailers (LFR), e-tailers and various gaming resellers.

BenQ’s XL2720Z, introduced into the market in the second half of the year, has proved to be popular among gamers and has helped to boost sales figures, Bakshi added. – TradeArabia News Service
