Canon launches new range of MFDs

DUBAI, July 12, 2015

Canon Middle East, a leader in imaging solutions, has launched the imageRunner 1435 series, which consists of two new compact A4 black and white multi-functional devices (MFDs).

The new devices imageRunner 1435i and 1435iF combine the core functionalities of print, copy, scan, send and fax in a single compact and robust device, said a statement from Canon.

The new MFDs are packed with features aimed at addressing the document and cost challenges faced by small workgroups, it added.

Canon's new printers can easily handle peak workloads of up to 60,000 pages a month with speeds of 35 pages-per-minute (ppm).

To optimise workflow, the devices allow users to capture paper documents into searchable digital formats and can send the data directly to a range of destinations removing the need for any PC-based processing, said the statement.

The imageRunner 1435 series also offers extensive connectivity options for mobile workers, giving users more flexibility in accessing and printing of their documents, it said.

The MFDs come with a separate toner and a user-replaceable drum in order to reduce waste and achieve greater efficiencies in printing

Newly added native support for industry standards such as printer control language (PCL) and Genuine Adobe PostScript 3TM allows the devices to be integrated with the users IT environments without complication, it stated.

Additionally, to help organisations reduce the risk of print-related data breaches, the devices also incorporate secure printing, iPSec, department ID and authorised send as standard. The option to encrypt PDF documents has also been added to further secure scanned data.

The latest multifunctional printers are Energy Star certified and feature class-leading TEC ratings, with power consumption figures of less than two watt during sleep mode, it added. – TradeArabia News Service
