Samsung SUHD TV 'revolutionises' content

DUBAI, August 18, 2015

Samsung Electronics’ innovative SUHD TV has achieved a major milestone in the UHD era and the large screens industry by revolutionising content viewing.

The TV has a number of new and exciting features such as the re-mastering engine which delivers an unrivalled viewing experience while its stylish curved design provides viewers with a more immersive viewing experience, the company said.

With this new generation of smart TVs, Samsung can offer exclusive content strengthened with 4K technology, a 3D surround sound experience and a greater colour palette, teh company said.

Samsung SUHD TVs demonstrate ground breaking advances in contrast, brightness, colour reproduction, and detail made possible only through the use of its proprietary, eco-friendly nano-crystal technology and intelligent SUHD re-mastering picture quality engine, it said.

The nano-crystal display technology transmits different colours of light depending on their size to produce the highest colour purity and light efficiency available today while the intelligent SUHD re-mastering engine automatically analyses the brightness of images to minimize additional power consumption while expressing stunning contrast levels 64 times stronger than the average devices.

Launched in 2013, the SUHD TV features a Chamfer bezel design inspired from modern interior design adding more depth to the TV screen, and its elegant frame makes the TV look like a piece of art  when mounted on the wall.

Within 2015, all of Samsung’s smart TVs will be powered by Tizen, giving viewers easy access to their favourite content.

Tizen is an open-source platform that supports the web standard for TV app development. Thanks to Tizen, Samsung’s new Smart TV platform not only has a bevy of new features, but it also allows consumers intuitive access, a more integrated entertainment experience, and more choices for content than ever before.

The new user interface for Samsung’s Smart Hub is more responsive and is simplified to just one screen, displaying the most recent content and tailored content recommendations for even more entertainment options.

Another great feature is Quick Connect, using which Samsung Smart TVs automatically recognise Samsung smartphones, once they are paired via BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) technology.

Consumers can share video content from their Samsung smart phone to their Smart TV with the press of a button. Also, users can watch TV through their mobile devices without any apps or complicated pre-settings.– TradeArabia News Service
