Germany's Metro to open 8 stores in Tehran

TEHRAN, April 13, 2016

Metro, a German retail and distribution giant, is planning to establish eight department stores in Tehran, according to a report.
 
The preparations for the expansion of its whole cash and carry business are underway, said the Iran Daily report.
 
"We're also examining what opportunities Iran will offer with the end of Western sanctions," Olaf Koch, chief executive was quoted as saying.
 
Metro is present in around 30 countries in Europe and Asia and its brands include consumer electronics chains Media Markt and Saturn, the supermarket chain Real and the hypermarkets Metro Cash&Carry.
