Nakheel launches tender for Dragon City work

DUBAI, January 11, 2017

Nakheel, a leading UAE-based developer, has launched a tender for the construction and modification of infrastructure for warehouses within the International City complex at its shopping, residential and leisure destination, Dragon City in Dubai.

The development, home of the world-famous Dragon Mart, is undergoing extensive expansion in the form of new retail, hospitality and residential components that, when complete, will bring its size to 11 million sq ft.

The scope of work includes development of road, solar-powered lighting poles, pocket substation foundations and relevant utility service networks, said the Dubai developer in its tender document.

The last date for tender submission is January 30, it added.

Nakheel had in August last year awarded a Dh117.5 million ($32 million) contract to Al Ghurair Contracting & Engineering Works for building a new 375,000-sq-ft showroom complex at Dragon City.

The work has already begun on the complex and will be completed in the fourth quarter of 2018.-TradeArabia News Service
