Sharjah’s Eid Al Adha Exhibition logs 76,000 visitors

The first edition of the recently concluded  'Eid Al Adha' Exhibition, hosted by Expo Centre Sharjah, in partnership with Liz Exhibition’s, attracted 76,000 visitors and recorded major deals and a high volume of sales.

The 10-day event provided a host of fantastic deals and exciting discounts on a wide range of goods and products offered by leading brands and retailers.   

This event came in line with this year's strategic plan of the Expo Centre which aims to revitalize and support the retail through exhibitions and events that are assumed to be fit for this purpose, said Saif Mohammed Al Midfa, CEO, Expo Centre Sharjah.

Al Midfa noted that the retail trade sector is one of the most dynamic economic sectors that are capable of attracting direct foreign investments and diversifying economic activity. The retail sector accounts for 12.5% of the state's GDP and 18% of non-oil GDP, he added.

He stressed that the Centre is eager to increase the momentum of retail trade-related events and exhibitions in order to strengthen the prominent position of this sector across Sharjah and the UAE.

Jacob Varghese, CEO, Liz Exhibitions, said that the leading position of the Centre along with its distinguished organizational capabilities in terms of cooperation and provision of all facilities for exhibiting companies has greatly contributed to the resounding success of the event.

Varghese also hailed the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the Centre in order to ensure the safety of everyone. – TradeArabia News Service
