A Doxa dive watch

Doxa Swiss diving watches arrive in the Middle East

BIEL/BIENNE, July 14, 2022

Best known for its dive watches, Doxa, which has grown to over 60 outlets around the world, is now establishing a strong presence in the Middle East

The Swiss watch maker is in partnership with Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons in Dubai and UAE, in Saudi Arabia with Kooheji Store Co, in the Kingdom of Bahrain with Bahrain Jewellery Centre, and in Kuwait with Behbehani Watch World.

Jan Edöcs, CEO de Doxa Watches, comments: "Today we are passing a milestone. All of us at Doxa are very proud to now also be present in the Middle East in partnership with the most prestigious retailers and distributors to complement their range of leading brands. These openings shift Doxa’s development into high gear as the region is an international hub for tourism and shopping.”

Same values
Doxa and its partners are all driven by the same values: a shared passion for high-quality diving watches with a strong heritage, customer-friendly price positioning and outstanding after-sales service.

Based in Biel in the canton of Bern, Switzerland, Doxa Watches has been owned by the Swiss Jenny family for over 25 years. The general management of Doxa Watches is under the stewardship of Jan Edöcs, CEO of Doxa Watches.

Timeline
In 2019, Doxa’s management laid the tracks for a completely new strategy with the aim of reviving the legend of the iconic Doxa SUB diving watches. As a first step, the brand opened a subsidiary in the US and its first sales outlets in the UK, prior to the expanding into continental Europe.

In 2020, after the US, the UK, Australia and Europe, new outlets were opened in India and Eastern Europe, where the brand is already well known.

In 2021, for the first time, the SUB collection becomes available at a US retailer with, notably, the SUB launch at the “Watches of Switzerland” boutique in New York’s Soho district.

The European network continues to develop at a strong pace with new outlets in Italy, Germany, and Scandinavia; the organisation grows organically with the opening of a German subsidiary being in charge to work directly with the retailers in the EU and staying close to their demands.

In 2022, the brand establishes a strong presence in the Middle East. The brand is planning expansion in southern Europe.-- TradeArabia News Service
