Bahrain will regain its historical commerial status as a main sea transport hub in the gulf region with the opening of the new Shaikh Khalifa Port, said a top government official.
The new facility will be provided with the latest state-of-the-art equipment as the old cranes and heavy maachinery will remain at Mina Salman, General Organisation for Seaports director-general Hassan Al Majid told our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
