Sabre Travel Network Middle East has announced the promotion of Ehab Souka to regional manager Egypt and Levant.
In this new role the Egyptian national assumes increased responsibilities as part of a restructuring to serve Sabre’s ongoing growth and expansion.
Souka forms part of an overall management team overseeing the company’s operations in 11 countries across the Mena region.
His added responsibilities build upon his earlier career achievements with Sabre where he has played an integral role in growing the company’s market share across these markets.
“This promotion is representative of our commitment to the region and reflects the success of a programme of strategic investments we have been making to increase our in-country presence and enhance our local and regional capabilities,” Daniel Naoumovitch, chief executive officer of Sabre Travel Network Middle East.
“In his new capacity, Souka will lead enlarged sales, IT and support teams to serve the increasing travel and distribution needs of our airline and travel industry customers in Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon and Syria,” said Daniel Naoumovitch.
Souka has a wealth of airline and global distribution system knowledge and experience.
He will oversee Sabre’s operation in Egypt from his base in Cairo and will also manage the company’s business in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
