SriLankan Airlines seminar a success

SriLankan Airlines successfully conducted a seminar for 50 front line staff of leading travel agencies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The guest speaker at the product presentation was head of training and development for McDonald, Saudi Arabia, Rushdi Ibrahim, who shared his experiences as a Gold Skywards member of SriLankan Airlines.

Skywards is the loyalty programme of SriLankan Airlines and Emirates that provides for a wealth of frequent flyer privileges including free tickets, upgrades and free baggage allowances.

Sales manager of SriLankan Airlines in Riyadh Fawzan Fareid led off the proceedings with a presentation on Skywards, services to be expected from the airline at Colombo Airport and Sri Lanka’s golf resorts.

The travel agents were familiarised by sales supervisor with SriLankan Airlines’ Shoaib Ahmed about the new connections to India, the attractive promotional fares on offer and the airline’s new service “Glimpse of Sri Lanka” and the introduction of online booking and e-tickets.

Sales executive Sivanathan Jaya discussed the SriLankan Airlines’ Far Eastern connections and SriLankan Holiday’s packaged offers to the East.

SriLankan Airlines flies to 51 destinations in 28 countries. The airline has many accolades to its credit, among them the Imperial Mark for exceptional levels of service and quality and Foreign Carrier of the year (2006) in South Asia. Emirates Airlines currently holds a 43.6 percent stake in SriLankan Airlines.  – TradeArabia News Service
