Delta offers special fare for Kuwait-Atlanta trip

Kuwait City, August 7, 2008

Delta Air Lines is offering a limited time introductory return fare of KWD309 ($1,159) on its new non-stop route between Kuwait City and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The offer applies to tickets purchased before August 22, 2008 for travel between November 8 and December 11, 2008, the airline said.

Delta said it will operate four weekly services between Kuwait and the United States offering hundreds of onward connecting opportunities offered via Delta’s Atlanta hub.

The Kuwait to Atlanta flight, which begins November 8, strengthens Delta’s leadership position in the Middle East and North Africa, complementing existing service from Dubai to Atlanta; and from Cairo and Amman to New York-JFK.

’This flight will serve Kuwait’s incredibly strong business links with the US via our hub in Atlanta. From Atlanta, customers have the benefit of Delta’s extensive connections domestically and to Latin America and the Caribbean,’ said Robert Cortelyou, senior vice president – Network Planning.

’With the extensive connections that Atlanta offers, we are sure that this route will prove popular with both business and leisure travelers as well as cargo to the region.’
Traffic between the United States and Middle East is one of the fastest growing markets in aviation.

The Middle East is a key component of Delta’s international expansion. Since 2005, the airline has added more than 60 new international destinations to its network, and Delta is now the leading carrier across the Atlantic with 44 destinations, more than any other airline.

Passengers on Delta’s flights between Kuwait and Atlanta will travel on Boeing 777-200ER aircraft.

Customers seated in Delta’s award-winning BusinessElite cabin enjoy all-leather sleeper seats with 60 inches of legroom, innovative food offerings designed by celebrity chef Michelle Bernstein, on-demand personal in-seat entertainment, as well as upgraded pillow, duvet cover and amenity kit. - TradeArabia News Service
