Libya's Afriqiyah Airways will begin flying four times a week between Tripoli and Dubai from today, following a surge in traffic on the route, as a result of the opening up of the Libyan economy, a report said.
Emirates and Libyan Arab Airlines already offer flights on the Dubai-Tripoli route, according to the Gulf News report.
The airline has named Dubai-based Sharaf Travel as its general sales agent in the UAE.
Afriqiyah started operations in December 2001, and now flies to 23 destinations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
