Omran adds to management team

Muscat, October 30, 2008

Omran, the Oman Government’s tourism development and investment arm, has appointed four key new members to its management team.

These appointments cover key areas of focus for Omran, including environmental sustainability, project delivery, communications and investor relations.

The new team members include Abdul Wahid Abdul Aziz Al Farsi, as external affairs manager, Ahmed Mohammed Al-Sabahi as environment manager, Nasser Saif Al-Maqbali as senior construction manager and Ibrahim Sultan Saif Al-Hosni as investor manager.

"Omran is a growing and changing organisation, with a portfolio of projects and joint ventures which will contribute substantially to the development of Oman’s tourism industry.  To meet the ambitious vision of the Oman Government, we need quality senior personnel who can deliver and communicate that delivery," stated Wael Al-Lawati, CEO of Omran.

"Furthermore, in line with our absolute belief in the process of Omanisation and the need to promote and develop Omani talent in this sector, we have diligently recruited these young and seasoned managers for their respective roles," he added.-TradeArabia News Service
