Bahrain Air welcomes new crew

Bahrain Air, the first private national carrier based in Bahrain, celebrated the joining of the ninth group of flight attendants after an extensive training course.

Director of operations and maintenance captain Ahmed Mohammed Yaqubi announced the graduation of Bahrain Air's ninth cabin crew team.

The team graduated from an extensive training course armed with the expertise to handle security and emergency situations, specifically in Airbus A319s and A320s.

The new recruitment of cabin crew is an initiative of Bahrain Air to equip its new aircraft, which will arrive on Wednesday, said Captain Yaqubi.

He congratulated the cabin crew team for this achievement in a ceremony held at Bahrain Air's headquarters. He praised the crew for their hard work and success, and wished them the best with their career with Bahrain Air.

"Customer service is the core of the airline industry. Besides ensuring the safety of the aircraft, cabin crews must focus on serving the needs of our esteemed passengers, to offer them a pleasant experience during their flight with Bahrain Air," said Captain Yaqubi.

"The ninth group is made up of 15 candidates which brings Bahrain Air total number of cabin crew to a total of 95, of 20 nationalities.

"Bahrain Air encourages Bahraini applicants specifically to enroll and be part of this interesting and rewarding profession," said Captain Yaqubi.

"At Bahrain Air, the satisfaction of our passengers comes first, therefore we follow a policy of diversity in recruiting cabin crew to provide our passengers with excellent service without any barriers," said cabin crew and in-flight services manager Hussein Al Jowder.

"The candidates were carefully selected through an intensive examination which included the test of their personality, efficiency in the area of customer service and their English language.

"Not only do we ensure that cabin crew undergo intensive training in all safety aspects, but with the training they attend it gives meaning to hands-on experience cabin crew get a real taste of the ultimate Bahrain Air experience," said  Al Jowder.

The new team will commence their duty immediately, travelling between the Gulf region, the Middle East, Africa, Iran and the Indian Sub-Continent.-TradeArabia News Service
