UAE, FSF in flight safety agreement

The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has announced the signing of a strategic co-operation and partnership agreement with American Flight Safety Foundation (FSF), a world leader in flight safety systems research and development.

The agreement was signed by Saif Mohammad Al Suwaidi, GCAA director general and William Voss, CEO of Flight Safety Foundation FSF,  with the object of setting up a strategic partnership that will enable GCAA to benefit from FSF's experience in applying the highest flight safety standards.

'In light of the overall vision adopted by GCAA to become a world leader, and in the context of our comprehensive development plan, we entered into this strategic partnership with one of the best experts in flight safety,' Al Suwaidi stated.

'It will give us access to best practices and expertise, which will positively reflect on GCAA's preparations to meet the potential growth with respect to flight safety,' he noted.

Lauding the positive steps that GCAA has taken in this regard, William Voss said: 'We are pleased to be one of GCAA's strategic partners in its proactive initiatives to secure the highest flight safety standards.

'This pinpoint the interest of GCAA to draw long term plans to meet the tremendous potential growth in the aviation sector of the UAE', he added.-TradeArabia News Service
